Organisations

The Church of St Clement’s is a vibrant church in the City of Worcester.

The St Clement’s, Worcester, Project is formed from representatives from the Worcester Cathedral Guild of Bellringers.

All of the bell ringing members of this project are members of The Ancient Society of College Youths (ASCY) which was established in 1637.  Membership is by invitation only, and a ringer must be at the absolute pinnacle of their craft to be invited into membership.  Jonathan Hughes was a proud member of the society, having gained membership at a very young age.

Collectively, those leading this project have been involved with the following successful tower and bell restorations in the City:

2007                Worcester Cathedral Teaching Centre.  A set of 8 training dumbbells, which physically replicate real tower bells.  This is in regular use in teaching new ringers in the basic skills involved.
